Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done. Just wait, the most hardest part! We are also in ap for 14 months now, so I can perfectly understand what you feel.

We've been in this black hole since Jan-15! Ugh.... Went 3-weeks with no status update change, then FINALLY it changed this week but we r still in admin review. Nothing was asked from us, they just needed to verify a document which was verified one week ago........... This totally sucks. We did contact our congressman last week as well but they can take up to 30-days to assist. So, with any luck we'll hear something soon. 64-days and counting now. :-(

Awaiting Oath Ceremony for Citizenship! Last step!

hi there...

my fiance had his interview on the 19th of feb and its been a month as well. no additional documents were asked everything was perfect but still had to go through AP and we had updates every week almost on ceac website but last update was on the 14th and than yesterday when i submitted an inquiry regarding our AP processing. the embassy said it might be a lengthy wait but it doesnt mean we have forgotten about your case. so therefore nothing can be done. i am so upset as well i am deciding i might want to go visit my fiance in pakistan but not sure because i dont want to mess up with our case even though our lawyer said he doesnt see any problem if i go there. anyway...

Sugheil Nawas , Have you had any updates on your case. We have had 1 every week since Feb 6.

Yes, we have he even went for the second time to do his fingerprints and oath, but still stuck in this.

If you read most postings here from Pakistanis or their petitioners, the US embassy in Islamabad is one of the toughest US embassies. Even if your fiance is approved, they would put you on AP for infinite time. One of beneficiaries on VJ got approved after 5 years. I don't want to scary you but that's the truth.

You can search about beneficiaries from Pakistan on VJ and how long they wait until their visas are approved. You'll be lucky if the embassy issued the visa less than a month. If it was happened, that's very rare. On the other note, It is a good idea go visit him again to Pakistan concerning how long usually it takes the US embassy put on AP for beneficiaries. Some people do. You can started planning what you would do with him after his visa is approved.

Know your enemy and know yourself and you can fight a hundred battles without disaster.Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat

It doesn't matter how slow you go as long as you don't stop

-I am the beneficiary and my post is not reflecting my petitioner's point of views-

Once you're in AP the only thing you can do is wait. They won't tell you how long, or what they're doing.

The desk of the person administering the AP can be the Thunderdome of the visa world.

Two visas enter, one visa leaves.

There have been cases that have been in AP for a year.
