I just joined have been trolling the site for info for a few weeks now, so I decided to join. It totally seems like a support group for us going through this process. I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.

Just got the NOA1 in the mail today. I know the wait can be long form this point How is everyone else doing?

Also the dates on the NOA1 seem off. The received and priority dates are March 13th, the day I put the package in the mail. The Notice date is March 17th which was a Sunday, didn't know the Gov. worked on Sundays. But the 17th was St. Patty's day so maybe there will be some luck with it..

March 17th was Monday and it's not a National Holiday. It is a normal working day for the US.

You probably won't have a wait as long as those of us who filed a year ago. I just waited 11 months and 6 days for my NOA2. Hopefully the USCIS got the backlog down a bit. Follow this site to keep up with he trends. That helped me a lot because you'll get nothing but lies from the USCIS.

Where did you get your NOA1 from? Which service center?

I should have remembered it was a Monday because I was working and not at the Flogging Molly concert.. I got confused when filling out my timeline because they have Monday as the first day of the week and Sunday as the last..........

I got it from the Texas service center.

Wow 11 moths and 6 days.... I Hope the rest goes quick for you. From what I have read the NOA2 is the longest part, so at least that is behind you. It's crazy how each petition time is so different from case to case. I've seen s lot similar to you and I have seen a few that got the NOA2 in like a month. I think that is what makes it worse. the uncertainty.

Good luck

I wouldn't worry about the dates on the NOA1, just keep track of the process on the USCIS

website. You will have to create an account with a password and username. There you can

keep track of the process of your petition. Once you get your NOA2 you can call USCIS

and get the MNL case number, and you set your appointment and do the medical and CFO.

Good Luck..

Thank you both for the input. I went and got all set up on the USCIS site

I'm joining the club! I got the email confirmation last week, and the I-797C showed up via La Poste today. Everything seems in order...

...and now we wait. If the optimistic 5-month quote for the Nebraska Service Center holds, NOA2 ought to arrive in August. Or maybe we'll get lucky. Or maybe it'll take a year.

I never imagined the process to be so much like a lottery.

My NOA1 came in the mail in a week so yours should be arriving any day now...

The waiting seems worse now since sending the package than it did before sending... I guess because its now out of my control... Good Luck

I'm on another thread similar to this, and so I just wanted to say hi!

The priority date on my I130 receipt is March 7 , 2014, and the Nebraska's service office address is in the left hand bottom corner. I assume this is my service center.

I, too, hope the first phase of our process is in the five month range. So sorry for all those people who had to wait a long time.

Ok, well, good luck everyone!

Lauren (moving my husband and babies to Boston once this is all over).

Hi again and thank all of you for sharing your experience.

My husband has received an email from uscis a day after they got our I-130 packet which is 18 March but not the hard copy yet. When we started this journey I was like "waiting for NOA1 is nothing. The REAL testing of patience starts after that" but look at me now I cant even stop reading other people's experience on this website and on others!

I really hope everyone could join their loved one asap!
