Our interview is tomorrow...we will be sending our waiver in this week. I Hope the approvals keep coming. I dread waiting another 6 months. We have an expedite reason, so if the whole waiver process takes 3 months....I'm fine with that. good luck to everyone waiting

Initial Review

On March 5, 2014, we received this I601 Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

received my fiance's rfe letter and it is a long one. They want a statement from me describing that his denial will be extreme hardship for me, also letters from doctors my financial information, IDK what else to do. What else do thay want me to do. they want me to send his criminal history from the us?/??? he's out of the country. He wrote a long letter and they want more. How else could I prove extreme hardship

I'm just done with all of this... :((((((((

You have to express your hardship in the I-601... the spouses have to show how they will suffer from both sides, In addition, they are asking for your financial information, so that you can prove hardship on your behalf, being the reason why you need him to come home...If you expressed depression or he mentioned you suffer from any type of medical problems, you have to get the proof of that, I went to my doctors and had them pull my medical records which showed what they diagnosed me with and what medications I was put on at the times. Sounds like they are looking for the hardsship from your end verses his, if you get the proof they need together and send it, I bet you get a response in like 10-15 days, most people that have sent in the RFE's get the approival really quick...you may want to seek legal help, if you dont already have it. good luck! and dont loose faith.

Does anyone know why they are taking so long for march approvals my case was sent to the National Benefits Center. And there are no processing times available and I am in the states. We filed from within the States based on marriage to a US Citizen I have an Approved i-130 and a I-485 approval based on the I-601 all because my lawyer didn't file for it when we filed originally. So now I am just waiting anxiously. I have my ss card and work permit and Driver's license and I am just waiting to receive my green card.

My case starts with MSC abbreviation for national benefits center for I-601 but there are no processing times for these types of cases. so how do i get an idea of the appropriate time frame for this case i have been waiting since march 5th?

I sent my expedite request and whole waiver packet to CDJ, previously approved by CDJ executive director. I never received a confirmation e-mail of I-601 received. I called on Aug 10 and was told it was received on Aug 1st and have to wait until the 15th to get an answer. My question is, is it normal for expedite request over an I-601 to do not get a receiving date and info. letter. I am very confused. However I am going to call on the 15th, I am just not sure without a letter how to track the 15 business day it takes to be processed.
