It has been 7 months since October 2013 that Priority Date in F2A category has moved. I thought it will move faster when new Financial Year started. Visa Journey predicts same results still in May Bulletin.

How much long to wait ? Any idea ?

Marriage: 2012-11-28

I-130 Sent : 2013-09-23

I-130 NOA1 : 2013-09-24

I-130 NOA2 : 2014-02-06 (Approved)

NVC Received : 2014-02-12

Interview appointment letter : 2015-06-03

Case Completed at NVC : 2015-06-03

NVC Left : 2015-06-17

Packet 3 Received : 2015-03-05

Packet 4 Received : 2015-06-10

Biometrics : 2015-07-14

Interview Date : 2015-07-15

Interview Result : Approved

Visa Received : 2015-07-16

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Well, it seems a retrogression has hit.

Are you studying the retrogression, or no?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

New financial year? If you meant fiscal year it starts from Oct 2014. It was Oct 2013 last yr and with the extra visa coming in it still hasn't moved.

Impossible to predict math behind their VB prediction if the demand data isn't made available to the general public. But DOS does know to waste numbers and give 10K visas from FB to EB as "Spillover". Beats me!

The F2a category advanced almost 2 years in 2013. That was unusual.

On Oct 2012 VB, the current date for F2a was June 1, 2010.

By August 2013, the F2a category was current.

The reason that the F2a category is not changing is the number of people that were pushed through last year who are still waiting to be processed for their visas.

This is my guess.

I know what retrogression is, but what do you mean by "studying" ? I can't find any demand data or such kind of things to know the progress on Visa numbers. (I guess nobody has :P )

Though I am very hopeful for May bulletin that it will get my PD current. :)

looks like it will remain Sept 2013. in fact, they predict that it will retrogress further last quarter of this year.

I hope not :(

I'm sorry to somehow disappoint some folks here. I will lay it down to you guys as simple as I can.

My daughter's Priority Date is August 5, 2013.

The process at NVC was completed in March 26, 2014, next step is to wait for the interview schedule.

Today is May 23, 2014, a few more days before June when retrogression hits, still no Interview Notice.

I called NVC, they can't say if my daughter will get an interview date before June hits.

Well, that's what one does -

studies the monthly bulletin, and checks out the announcement for PD by type.

It's not a 'study the numbers' game - it's 'study the one line in the monthly visa bulletin' game.

The same concern, why did they go back to 2012 on the VB....I do not know, my priority date is October 2013.

I do not know when they will send my case to our local consular.
