Hey guys,

I just wanted to start a topic for all people stuck in Nebraska or that have been transferred here to keep up with some of the timelines and months and such since they seem to be all over the place! Hopefully by Nebraska filers joining this group we can try to find some sort of consistency from them - and so we can obsess together ;).

If your petition is currently at Nebraska please join us and tell us your story or any other information you have.

Lets hope they hurry up, or at least start showing some consistency.

As for me, my NOA 1 is NOV 15 2013 and it was sent from Nebraska (no transfer).

Today I called a tier two and I KNOW this is NOT right but she (rudely) said that she talked directly to Nebraska and that they claim to be on April 5 2013 right now. (These are the numbers from the site that are AS OF December 31.) She also said that petitions are taking 9 months right now. (%&^#*%#$!!)

She had no answer other than "every case is different' when I mentioned that I know of people from July, even NOV without expedite who have gotten approvals from there (and not just people from Philippines). They don't seem to be going in any kind of order.

I know at USCIS they say all this stuff and probably none of is it actually true, or they find loop holes.

Anyone else have any Nebraska Info?

Good luck to all of us

Oh gosh Smoochies I'm sorry you've been waiting so long. When did you get transferred to Nebraska? You're supposed to hear a decision within 60 days of transfer!

They say April but that is from December... you should have yours by now!!

Have you ever gotten an RFE (Request Further Evidence - i think is what it means)?

I don't know how you are holding it together. :(

Same for us but our ARN changed in December. Did you do an I-129f petition as well? I was thinking that's why ours changed in December..because our I-129f got matched up with the I-130.

I haven't had a word since either. I was hoping it meant something :/

Nov Filer here (NOA Date 11/19)! Alien Registration number got changed on both my I-130 and I-129f on 1/2, I-130 got updated 1/7 but haven't heard anything since...I feel like in November most people got sent to Nebraska but for some reason I rarely see any approvals from there? Since they didn't process the I-130 before, shouldn't this go a little faster? :D I really hope they're not really working on April 2013 right now, I was actually hoping to get approved sometime this year....

(this is my first post btw, been following threads in this forum since we filed thoughwink.png )

6/5/2013 got married

11/14/2013 mailed I-130

11/19/2013 I-130 NOA1 (NSC)

12/20/2013 mailed I-129f (just in case)

12/27/2013 I-129f NOA1 (NSC)

1/2/2014 ARN changed on both I-130 and I-129f

1/7/2014 I-129f updated/touched?

11/10/2014 NOA2 FINALLY!!! (after 356 days & 4 service requests)

Alreadytaken, yeah you'd think so right?! But I think as someone else before said- they're a mess right now. If you look on VJ timelines and refine it to "transfers" and "nebraska" you can see that they're first of all RANDOM but actually doing approvals. They go from April, May, June, May, June April and so on. Lately it's been more June so I'm thinking they're headed to July now. As far as I could see though they don't have too many July, August of sept. The September thread if you look at them, most of them got transferred elsewhere. So that's good for us I suppose! They say April (as I heard from others too) to keep is quiet. It seems they're pretty much done there though. And the "April 5, 2013" update you see on the website is "AS OF December 31 2013" so those numbers are old but they won't tell us anything new either (I tried today they will not budge!).

Anyway... Hopefully as soon as the transfers are out if the way were next. If you do the same BJ timeline search refined to nebraska (not transfers but just nebraska) you see they did all the expedited Philippines ones BUT also some others from even December! When I asked the tier 2 uscis person today they said "every case is different" ... Yeah whatever. They're so random! That's why I started this thread.. So we can stick together and try to find some diet of answer.

I know. I've been keeping a close eye on everything. November filers are hoping for May approvals. Hoping. Doesn't mean it will happen. :(

I'll keep everyone updated on anything I find on this forum. If any one else gets any info feel free to share or chat!

Keeping an eye on the months before you and after you help usually. But with nebraska it's hard to really predict. Just keep using VJ timelines and seeing what's new each day. That's what I'm doing. :/

I am a Jan 2014 filer routed to Nebraska directly.

I´m not very confident about the random theory...they are supposed to process cases on a first come first served basis, if not....Why do we need a priority date? Just for filing? The receipt number would be enough for processing, then.

I am skeptical, I think they really take into account the filing and priority dates. According to their official processing times, Nebraska is taking 9 months (average) in doing approvals. So that, in my case, I do not expecty anything until October...

Maybe those cases of December you are referring to are K-1 visas. It seems they handle them quicker than IR-1/CR-1 requests....

Well let's just hope for the best...Doesn't help that my timeline tells me I should've gotten approved 2 weeks ago^^ 99 days and counting... Before I started this process I thought it would take like 3 months to get an approval YEAH RIGHTdry.png I just hope I won't get an RFE, I feel like I prolly didn't send enough evidence (yup starting to get really paranoid here...)

I'm a July filer (I-130 and I-129F). Petitions transferred to Nebraska Bullshi! Center January 2nd.

STILL WAITING.

I got this email this morning:

"Thank you for your recent inquiry about your I-129F petition.

USCIS records show that this case was received by the National Benefits Center (NBC) on July 26, 2013. The case was then transferred to the Nebraska Service Center (NSC) on January 6, 2014.

At this time the case is assigned to an officer. Although assigned, we cannot predict the date the case may actually receive review.

If you have not received a decision or other notice of action on this case within 60 days from the date of this email, please contact us for an update.

The National Customer Service Center’s toll free number is 1-800-375-5283 or you may access the CIS web site at www.uscis.gov should you have any further questions or need additional information.

Thank you,

USCIS/Nebraska Service Center

EX0224"

I know it has been "assigned to an officer" at least two weeks now since I already got a similar email two weeks ago.

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
01/12/2016: NOA1
