Praaaaaaaise the Lord,I was approved,Dwheels God will surely reward u for ur assistance and advice for me it was like a piece of cake,of all the docs I was asked to bring that NPC (birth cert)stuff,.pickn up visa next week.Pls Rejoice with me,it was indeed a journey and a very long one at that.

pls how do I go about the USCIS payment, should I pay now or after collecting ma visa.

You can't pay until you pick up Visa because you will need that number. Then you can log into ELIS anytime before POE or you can wait after you get to US its up to you.

Hi -

I am in the NVC processing stage but wanted to inquire regarding the interview process.

My wife will be assigned to either Mumbai or Delhi embassy for her interview. If I make a trip to India to be with her during the interview process, will I be allowed to enter the embassy? Will I be interviewed along with her?

You may not be allowed into the interview area itself (those familiar with how things work at the Embassy in New Delhi or the Consulate in Mumbai can chime in here). In the general sense, if you are not allowed into the area itself, it is helpful to be on the premises or nearby the premises if for no other reason, to support your spouse.

December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file

September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Mumbai consulate will not let you in. Only your spouse will be able to get inside and you will have to wait outside.

Its official.....official offical!! My hubby picked up his passport today from the embassy!!! He will travel tomorrow and be in the US and I will be in his arms on thursday!!!! Maybe now I can sleep peacefully at night.......if it wasnt for the anticipation maybe that would be possible!<3

Interview in Montreal tomorrow! Biting my nails for my husband x___x Im worried about fees because I keep reading that they may ask for you to pay some at the consulate itself. Our interview letter says everything is paid though. Sending my husband with his bank card just in case. Went through all his papers tonight and hes all ready to go. 10am . Keeps us in your thoughts please <3

December 21, 2011 - Got Married in the Philippines

December 21, 2012 - Went back in the Philippines for first anniversary.

USCIS

June 11, 2013 - I-130 sent

June 17, 2013 - NOA1

November 21, 2013 - Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center

December 5, 2013 - I-130 approved via email

December 9, 2013 - receive hard copy of NOA2

receive email that case was shipped to NVC

NVC

January 6, 2014 - NVC received the case ( no case number yet )

January 29, 2014 - Receive case number, invoice and beneficiary ID number

February 7, 2014 - DS261 available online and submitted

February 10, 2014 - received an email regarding AOS processing fee bill invoice

February 10, 2014 - was able to pay AOS online

Februay 12, 2014 - AOS showed PAID on line/ AOS package sent ( one day delivery)

February 13, 2014 - NVC received the package

February 18, 2014 - AOS was entered in the system

If you are in Chennai I believe your consulate will be Mumbai. And then the answer is No.
