Thank you so much everyone. I am so glad my journey is almost over. I now can relieve a little until I have the actual card in hand. Something could always go wrong. I will post my time line the moment I receive my card, for safety purpose.

I now start thinking of working on my divorce. My attorney said it will be $3000 total her fee + the court fee, if I get my husband to sign the forms (extra fee if he doesn't want to or we couldn't find him) and does not cause any other trouble (I made some money after we separated, so I'm worried he might want to split that) but I have bank statements showing that money came after I left him.

If anyone have had a divorce, do you need a lawyer to file my divorce or can I file the divorce without my husband signature/agreement? I'm worried he will cause a lot problems knowing I'm still here.

I decided to post here something very important, because I don't want to see any person here facing what one woman from my home Country is facing right now in Texas. She got married in 2004 to an American Citizen and years later she found out he is a sex offender, anyway before she found out about this fact they had a child and he sexually molested his own daughter, despite all proof he was never arrested and the Judge gave him 50% of shared custody and overnight sleep, and once she found out about the sentence to protect her daughter she left Florida to Texas and after two years living in Texas on Jan 16,2014 she was arrested and still in jail until now, because the Court decided she violated a Court order moving out of the State without communicating the Court. Today was her second criminal hearing and we don't have any news yet.She faces civil and criminal charges because of that.

The Bar Association in my Country decided to pay an attorney in the US to defend her. Her daughter has just US Citizenship, and the Brazilian Consulate after 2 intense weeks was able this week to give to the girl Brazilian Citizenship as well, and it will become easier for the authorities in my Country to intervene to guarantee the rights of a Brazilian child . My advises are: 1)NEVER EVER move out of your State with your children without having a Court permission, even if you did not divorce yet, you must always ask the Court permission to move out of the State with your child otherwise you can be charged with Parental kidnapping, and if you have Custody of your child already you can be arrested for ignoring the Court order as well. 2)Apply for you kids to have double Citizenship, if the spouse doesn't want to sign the papers then go to the Court to ask the Judge permission, most Consulates register children without the father signature, but to get passport is obligated to have the father consent. or Judicial order.3) When filing for divorce ask your lawyer to mention in the divorce decree that you are allowed to travel abroad every time you want with the child, having just to communicate the child's father through registered mail where the child will be, for how long and the address abroad.4) File for divorce as soon you can, you can find a pro bono lawyer to represent you without any cost, ask the Court clerk the list of pro bono lawyers in your area, or contact the Bar Association in your State to get the list.5) Most States accept to file for divorce based in extreme cruelty, then if you don't want to disclose your address in the divorce papers then file the divorce based in extreme cruelty, as a victim of DV you are not obligated EVER to disclose your address in the divorce papers 6) if one day you get any restraining order against you PLEASE hire a lawyer , you must contest the restraining order.

Apple 2013 you don't need to have an amicable divorce,it means you.don't need he signs the petition with you,but of course you have to serve him with the divorce papers, you can pay a small fee and Aqua q the sheriff you serve him. The divorce fee usually is between $250 to $350. If you have police report against your husband talk to your lawyer to inform the Court not display you address in Court and papers.
