March Interviews 2014

Does anyone of you know if we need the 2013 Income Tax Information for our March interview?

Its optional. If you have already submitted your 2013 taxes then might be a good idea to take it along for the interview. Since I won't have it done in my case, I'd just send the W2.

Good Luck

Hi

I got interview date on March 17th.

But my concern is if I can get my passport back before our vacation, March 28th...

We didn't expect to have my interview this quick and wanted to have some fun before my husband move back to the US in April.

Still, good news though.

Given that you're approved with no issue/follow up, most probably you will be able to have it back. Please check with your consulate regarding the processing time. here in Ireland it takes 3 days.

Thanks for the info.

Based on the comments I read through, a lot of people also say 2-3days.

Regarding of "Approved with no issue", my case was not reviewed at NVC.

Since I have to bring all the documents to the embassy for review, I can imagine it may take longer, unfortunately.

Yes, we will ask embassy to make sure!!!

No, since you are married, you have to file Married. My wife filed her 2013 income tax via paper filling. we put "NRA" under my SSN field. and we sent it to the address they specified depending on your state. took us only 3 days. We issued a check for payment we owe to IRS (incase you're underpaid). if your interview is before April 15, they dont require you to provide the tax information but they might ask you to provide 2013 W2 information during the interview. but it really depends on the embassy. its case to case basis. its only my opinion. hope it helps
