My case took 1 year and 6 days (372days) from NOA1 to Approval.

I also use the attorney and my papers in USCIS California.

After 10 months still Initial Review, my Attorney came to Liason and made a complain to USCIS then my case turned status to Evidence Response Review, 2 months after that their approved my I-130.

California Service Center is the worst, too much Immigrant / cases.

hi ... im also new in here .... did you mean that the NOA you receive the Notice of Action that is form I-797C?... my hubby filed our i-130 last june 2013 and we got the receipt number in your NOA? im also lost with our paper processing...how did you know that your status is in initial review?

That was the case...but lately, California has been turning out approvals very quickly, for at least 2-3 people on here. Keep optimistic.

Hi, I'm also married to a US citizen. We got our NOA1 in July 1st, 2013 and we filed our petition in NBC. Now we didn't receive any information in our email address saying that it was transferred and our attorney said that we can expect to receive the approval in 10 months. But when I check our case status in the USCIS website, it says that it can take 11 months :( can you please keep me posted... when you receive your NOA2 Thanks

What does your receipt number begin with? MSC or CSC??

hi everyone NBC has a timeline now so u guys can check i dont know wether thats good or bad they didnt have one before so for I-130 (us citizen filing for a spouse) it takes 11 months ! u can check the processing time on the USCIS website under ur case status !!! it sucks is like we r chasing the processing times and just when we get to the time the time goes up again I feel like the coyote from acme

I'd advice you to submit the I-485 if you have the 797C (receipt for the I-130). I did that in my own situation and they accepted it and processed it immediately.

I initially sent I-130 and it was pending but when I had the money to file for the I-485 I sent the application along with the I-130 receipt and they processed my I-485 based on my receipt. Here is a break down of my application:

March 2013: filed I-130 Alone

June 2013: File I-485, I-765, I-131 along with 797C (receipt of acceptance of I-130)

September 2013: Conditional Green card received.

Yeah, I thought you could only do the I485 if you were in the US already. I mean, I can't just bring my husband here on a tourist visa and then file an I485 to adjust his status based on the fact that he would be here already. I thought that the I130 had to be approved already and then you have to go through the NVC and Consulate/Embassy?
