06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.
06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).
07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?
09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).
09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).
10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."
12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.
12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.
12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.
01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.
01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.
04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").
05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.
05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).
06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."
07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.
08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).
08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Thanks, the attorney told us that USCIS California service center takes a longer time because of the back logs. they said it will take 300 days or 10 mos. after the NOA1. ranting33va.gif ranting33va.gif

Are you sure you filed at CSC?

Petitions are always filed to Chicago or Pheonix Locbox and then are routed to National Benefits Center. In March it was NBC/Lee's Summit. MO, now it's NBC/Overland Park, KS.

Unless your file was recently transferred, I'd say your atty is wrong about your file was originally sent to.

Does your case number start with MSC? or WAC?

hi, Our case Number starts with MSC.. Is it stands for? I'm not sure if our case was transferred or not. my husband called our attorney and the paralegal said that our papers is in California Service Center. and the reason why it takes so long is they have so many back logs. and they told us that it will take 10 mos. from the date of receipt (NOA1) and the receipt date was March 29th,2013. if I'm not mistaken we will probably get result on the end of January 2014.. dead.gif

It stands for national benefits center (NBC) located in Missouri or [missouri service center, basically the same]. If your case was transferred to CSC, uscis will send notification thru email and update your case status in uscis.

Dont show your receipt number in public , delete it

What could possibly happen except the authorities identifying the poster by it though? There's no private data shown in the tracking tool in USCIS site. Anyone can check anyone's number anyway. So just asking out of curiousity.

I'm the beneficiary.

Early 2009 - met online

24/06/2010 - first met IRL                                 09/01/2014 - DS-261 became available in the Forms Portal (filled)

23/11/2012 - married                                       10/01/2014 - AoS invoice became available and was paid

01/03/2013 - sent I-130                                   14/01/2014 - AoS invoice was marked as "Paid" in the system

05/03/2013 - NOA1                                          15/01/2014 - IV fee invoice became available and was paid

24/10/2013 - case transferred to CSC              21/01/2014 - IV fee was marked as "Paid" in the system, DS-260 filled in online

22/11/2013 - NOA2                                          07/03/2014 - IV package and I-864 delivered to NVC (based on courier delivery tracking status)

10/12/2013 - NVC received                              28/03/2014 - Case completed

03/01/2014 - Got NVC case #                           20/05/2014 - Interview, approved.

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

I just study the Receipts from USCIS ... I tried to change the last last two digits of our receipt number

Don't pay too much attention to nearby numbers. NBC creates over 30,000 MSC case numbers EACH WEEK, and about 1/3 of those are I-130 petitions.
