I got there at the US embassy 0515am for my 02:30 pm appointment and we were only two k1 applicants.

12:31 pm The guard outside collected the first page of the appointment letter and sign it.

12:32 pm we went inside further and entered the Gate.. I sat down and waited for my number to appear on the screen.

12:40 pm My number appeared and my window number was 07 ,a Local staff member was interviewed me for about 25 minutes. He asked my name, my birth date, my petitioner's name, how we met, my study & job, when did we meet personally, what is her work and her address. Have I applied for a visa before, is she divorced, do I have a child, does she have a child. Then he scanned my hands, took all my documents including my old passports and told me to sit back and wait for my number to appear on the screen again.

01:05 pm My number flashed with my window number 12. An American female consulate interviewed me. We did oath taking first and scanned my left hand. She asked me my petitioner's name, Where did we meet, And what is her work. After that she gave me a pamphlets about my rights, and she said to read it then she asked for any evidence of ongoing relationship, I gave her our emails (around 200) then she said it is OK!!. One thing to note , she commented on our engagement rings because we put on left hand instead of right !! I told her that our culture background doesn’t differ between right or left !! a minute has passed and she said you didn’t include Federal tax return for your fiance 2011 & 2012 !! Actually I included only Oregon tax return only so I told her that it is not with me right now, she said OK !! Ask your fiance to send them. Please sit down and wait for your number to be called for the instruction for next steps.

01:20 pm My number called to proceed to window number 7 , he gave me my passports , BC, my medical CD and a white paper called 221(g) section its said that i need to provide copies of our federal taxes income 2011 & 2012 along with my passport to complete my case.

at 01:30 pm, I am out on the US embassy.

Anyone experience this?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It happens sometimes to a bit of people that's why people always bring everything just in case they lost any of the paper work. Even past tax returns. Just provide the items they need as fast as possible and sit tight until they review the new documents. They may or may not give AP. It really depends. Inshallah I hope it goes smoothly as possible and get your visa soon!

My fiancée will has an interview in Riyadh soon.

I just started working as a medical resident in US and my salary above average and I have the contact and biweekly paycheck from the hospital. So, Do you think that embassy will ask my fiancée for my tax return? I don't have one actually!
