Now my question is HOW LONG WILL TAKE after submitting I-864 or I-864a for them to issue a visa? Is there any thing i should be worrying? will my wife get her visa if joint sponsor approved ? my qualified joint sponsor has very very high income.. im so worried can't wait to get rid of this process

Your input will be highly appreciated!!!!

my husband's interview was 8 days ago and they said the same thing. They received our documents on 4 days ago, according to FEDEX. No news yet, but we are hoping next week we'll receive good news, but who knows :(

ohh so did you send directly from USA to Islamabad Pakistan???

i was just told by my adviser that do not send from US directly to Islamabad ..Adviser suggested me send all of your required paper work to your wife then she should forward to an embassy. i know this will take additional time to reach embassy but that's what he suggested.

Hmmm I wonder why he suggested that. Well when will you send your new documents? Please let me know if they give you an update.

i have just prepared my sponsor I-864 I-864A today ..now i am wondering if i should directly forward to Islamabad Embassy.. because i have seen Islamabad embassy Website they have given option The petitioner can send the required documents using FedEx, UPS, or DHL, and the documents can be sent to:

Immigrant Visa Unit

Consular Section

Diplomatic Enclave, Ramna-5,

United States Embassy-Islamabad (Pakistan) 44000

But i don't have that original 221g form given by CO to my wife i have the scanned one which my wife sent to my email. Can you help me did you send original 221g form along with your documents ? do we required to send original one or scanned will work ?

I just included a cover letter that had both our names and DOB, our case number, and I wrote what the documents were for (the embassy asked for them), Then I said thanks and signed it with the date.

a printout of the scanned version of the 221g doc is perfectly acceptable.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Darnell is my cover letter sufficient enough? I didn't think of including a scanned copy of the 221g

My two cents. There is no need to worry. The affidavit of support is not an "I'm depth issue" but rather a procedural. It just means that you have not met the poverty guideline requirement and need a sponsor. Anyone that is a us or resident can sponsor and in some cases the beneficiary can if he can. But for the most part no big deal just make sure to get it with w2 and 1040 of the previous 3 years. This should tell you something. It was not brought up by uscis at the beginning neither Nvc in the middle because the case had to move on. It was until the end to approve it that they are requesting it because it's a missing piece not a in eligibility issue.

Oh and by the way. Ask yo wife if they gave her a comeback letter or an open appointment . Send the documents to her and have her visit the consulate. Most consulates have resident information hours that are open to the public. Have no fear. If they can take care of a case that needs little to complete they will gladly get it out of the way.

Will making an appointment help them review the papers faster? My husband lives in Karachi but he'll be willing to go back to Islamabad for a second interview if that will help speed things up

When the consul told you that there were documents pending, did he give you a sheet of paper with check boxes of documents pending and with 221g somewhere in it? If so, read it careful because it might say what the return method is?

No, it just said that we needed a new co-sponsor and it listed the documents we needed. Then it said that we must take action within a year.
