They make more money with the fiancée visa than the spouse visa. I know anyone would rather pay more money to get it case process faster. But it's all about them making money

I am at my the end of my rope with this process. It has been 217 days and still nothing. My husband and I are closing on our new home Dec 3, 2013 and I have to do everything on my own without him. The house will sit empty until he gets his Visa. This is no good.

This process is indeed out of control. I am planing on visiting my wife if I don't hear anything by the end of december, USCIS is run by emotionless robots. Well hopefully everything goes well with your closing and lets hope for a good news soon!

I don't understand how those numbers work. My number is msc13907021XX, which I assumed is 50000 ahead of that number. PD is march 4. However my case still "initial review", no transferred no approved. Can anyone explain why?

I think its a lost cause to try and type in random numbers looking for approvals. Not all MSC numbers are I-130's.. I am pretty sure they at least separate the I-130's from the other types of files. I think I read that each adjudicator is assigned to a certain type of file ( I-130's or K-1's etc.) I could be wrong but that could explain the gaps in approvals....

I just don't get it why case that's later than mine will be approved first. That makes me think that NBC people don't process case by order. My case could be sit at the NBC forever till someone decide to pick it up.

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

The side-by-side comparison is pretty powerful. I think most people would agree, especially if it were relabeled as "spousal visa" vs. "fiancee visa". Anyone here want to put together a nice looking, powerful infographic? Surely we have a graphic artist in our community who would lend a hand...

The infographic could compare the wait times for I-130 vs. I-129F, and also throw in the useless K-3 for good measure. If we cannot get a real graphic artist on it, I'll do it.

Are the stats for the K-3 included in the I-129F? I made this for you in the meantime...
