Hello VJ people, what is the average wait time for a CR1 petition to stay at nvc before it is completed?

The answer to your actual question will not be helpful to you. In an immigrant visa case, you do not simply "wait" for NVC to complete your case. How long it will take will depend on how quickly and efficiently you prepare and do your part. You will need to provide 5 separate responses to NVC. If you use the shortcuts efficiently, you can complete this in about six weeks. If you drag your feet, it can take a couple years.

No such thing as all things being equal. You're using an attorney, so I doubt they are using the shortcuts. My best guess is you'll probably be at NVC about three months total before case complete, but that's only an educated guess based on your Attorney's office being reasonably efficient.

Again, to think of this as "wait time" is counterproductive. The wait time is a couple weeks for them to process each of the three packages that are sent in. The rest depends on the "response time" of you and your attorney.

Be pro-active and be ready to submit your forms and pay your fees as soon as you are able to. I got mine done in 54 days and that's with a delay of 5 day in submitting my ds-230 which could have knocked off additional wait time. 17 of those days was just waiting to get invoiced.

Each form (I-864/DS-230) can take up to 20 business days to process IF no issues arise.

Only if the attorney will alter their normal procedures upon request of the client. Usually, they won't. The attitude is, "You hired me to manage this process for you. You don't get to tell me how to do it. That's what you hired ME for." :-)

i dint factor this in while hiring the attorney i tot my using the attorney will make the process faster and detailed.

is it too late to fire him? he was referred and i tot his track record was excellent

Okay sending in a DS-3032 and you have an attorney tells me they do not know whats going on. The IV Bill and AOS Bill (Affidavit of support-I-864 package) would have been invoiced together.

You have to be doggit about it. Because attorneys do not call NVC to see if anything is reviewed or accepted or if you have case compete.

Youu having an attorney cut literally 3 to 4 weeks off your time (you didn't have to wait for DS-3032 to be accepted). You should honestly barring any Checklist (mistakes) takes 4 to 6 weeks. NVC says 20 business days to review.

The checklists have been almost running 90% (people making errors). That new I-864 has been a beast.

And honestly if you get case complete in 2 to 3 months you are doing good. Than you get to wait for interview and that will be a month to 2 month wait.

Meaning you get case Complete by August month in you are in queue for October. September interviews were just announced this week.

Hope that helps shade some light. It's a wait so hang on and just focus on getting things accurate avoiding errors.

whoops -- i missed an important part.

If a DS-3032 was submitted,

then the G-28 wasn't filed with the I-130

and then

any time factor at NVC is lost.

Typically, having the G-28 in place, shaves 2 to 4 weeks at NVC, as the AOS and IV fee bills are generated within 3 days, together, when the Consular Casefile Number is created.

Right, with an attorney, there should be no DS3032. You don't choose an agent when the Attorney includes the G-28 with the petition.
