Sending Documents to the Philippines

I just sent some at my LBC branch, they claimed ~10 day delivery, so it must be some form of air transport.

Just an update. I went to LBC today to try to send docs and at this point in time they do not have that service. They said that they are scheduled to re-instate air service the end of May but that I should call first to confirm. So right now they only do sea shipping. I don't know whether this is just the Portland branch or LBC USA in general.

I didn't know that. My recent transactions were money remittances thru the Tambayan LBC agent. The last two balikbayan boxes transactions were by pick up since we didn't want to drive all the way to their new location close to the airport.

An Update:

The package (2+lbs of paperwork) took exactly 10 days to be delivered to her door ( I dropped it off on a saturday and they already told me it wouldnt leave their office until monday), so not bad for ~$15. Sure, Fed Ex might have been faster, but LBC already knows her address from prior deliveries, so it seemed to be a bit more of a reliable choice for me, and I wasn't in a "hurry" hurry where I needed it to be only a few days.

I think this one depends totally on where it is going. I only sent 3 things to Elena using regular mail and ALL of them magically disappeared or arrived opened and things missing.

I would never send anything ever again that relied on regular postal service in PI.

I've never had a problem with anything missing using USPS, but it is SSSLLLLOOOOWWWW!!!111!11
