I have 2 small criminal records both resulted in just fines, I know it's not an issue for my immigration but I wondered if they transfer your Criminal records to the US with you. So if someone runs a US background check your UK crimes will show up?

No it only shows on the UK records, although when you go for a job here(in my experience) most companies will check back to the UK criminal records, so always a good Idea to be truthful on any application you complete, as they will come across it, Normally they will ask if in the past 7 years....please explain.

hope this helps.

If someone runs a criminal records check on an individual in the US it will show offenses settled in the US. If INTERPOL (not the band but the intergovernmental agency) was after you it might be an issue.

good luck, I joined a large corporate job too, they took nearly 6/8 weeks to get all the background check completed, this was after giving me a start date, for me to hand in two weeks notice to my previous employer, it was very frustrating, but got their in the end....
