I was thinking the same thing. It used to be an indicator of imminent approval, but now (except for a lucky few) it seems those of us getting that notice right after filing will still have a normal wait time, but will have no head's up a few days in advance. Oh well, checking it and seeing an approval with no advance warning will be just as exciting, maybe moreso. I'm not even 2 months in and I check every day anyway... lol

Me too, but then I checked forums and it sounds like you get an automatic e-mail message when you get NOA2 just like when we got NOA1, so there's really no need to check the website, right?

If you have an android phone, there's an App for that, too, for complete obsessiveness. I have it on mine. Search for USCIS, there's two different ones (the better one will tell you of touches and comes up as "LUD and Status notifier" IIRC).

I just got the message. I am not going to get my hopes up. Okay, I am lying, I am getting my hopes up. But I don't honestly expect it to be quicker.

That being said, here is to hoping that the government has adopted robo signing to get through the back log. If Bank of America can get away with it, then by god America can get away with it. ;-)

What I do find amusing is the clause stating "wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service".

Does that mean wait for six or seven months? Ha ha ha.

On January 22, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

Ya pretty everyone is getting that now, except for a few people( and there IS always a few people who get these fast noa2s) , no one has gotten approved. At first it was a big deal cuz not many of us had this notification, but as time went on soo many people started to say they were getting it and we pretty much got that it was a glitch or something. Ya for several ppl it's been several months and still not approved so :( but its alright everyone! We're all in this together!
