I see on many people's timelines that their case has been 'touched'. I would like to know where you get this information. Which office gives you this update and where can I follow that? My case is at USCIS right now.

After 64 days EAD arrived 09/29/2012
Got my SSN on 11/19/2012
Got my Driver's license on 01/02/2013
GREEN CARD APPROVED WITH NO INTERVIEW!! 04/20/2013
Green Card in hand 04/27/2013 

Remove of conditions 01/20/2013

Had my Driver's license and SSN updated to GC holder 04/29/2013

Received my new Driver's license valid for 8 years! Lucky me!

Register at https://egov.uscis.g...ectusertype.jsp to see case updates. A touch is when you see the date has changed, that usually means they have looked at it or moved it to another location in the office. Good Luck

Moved from IR-1/CR-1 Process & Procedures to USCIS Service Centers forum; topic is about USCIS operations (specifically, checking online for case updates) and not about the visa process itself.

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)

12/19/12 NOA2!!!!!

01/24/2013 Got the Case and IIN #

02/07/2013 DS-3032 e-mail accepted

That's correct!! :)
I think we all want our cases to be touched! haha but I don't know if it's true that it's better to don't be "touched", just once and then approved? since it means that everything is going OK...how true is it that? Does anybody know?

Your issue might be you haven't registered. If you're just writing it in "check my case status" instead of "my account" then there's no date.

correct me if I'm wrong but as how I understand it is, you have to sign up an account at USCIS, add your case to your portfolio then the date on the "last updated" is when it was last touched. that's my guess :) but :rofl: to those who wanted to be touched. I love you all! :lol:

I see lots of folks saying there touch. I created a account and sign in to check my status but have never been touched. Case still shows the date they received the information sent.. Want to be touched so bad sent my I-130 8/8/11 never touch until RFE sent that info back touch on 8/31 status updated to evidence review on 8/31.. Still waiting desperately to be touched!! I want to be touch in more than just the USCIS..Need to be touched by my hubby>>haha
