My husband and I are expecting to get our NOA2 any day now. He will go and get his police report ASAP. My question is this... Does he need to have a police report for each state he has lived in since age 16, or only his current location (where he has lived most of his life)?

He needs to take police clearance for each state he lived more than 6 months after he being 16

WRONG!!

He only needs one police report from Nigeria, not from each state.

Though the embassy lists Alagbon in Lagos, we're getting ours from Iyaganku in Ibadan.

They are all sent to Alagbon and then returned to the original location which is the state C.I.D. (Criminal Investigation Department) of your area.

Edit:

"Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for 6 months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)"

No its each country he has lived in since 16 years old. Nigeria police reports is country wide.

Also I would advise not to get police report until you are assigned your case#.

Since police report is only good for 3 months and needs to be valid until interview day.

I just got my case# after 48 days from NOA2 and thank God we didn't waste money on police report. You can pick up same day in Lagos should not cost more than N8000. However any other state or city will jack up the price some have paid as much as N15000.

Its best once to get your police report once you have your date........ Even when NVC sends your case to Lagos it might take up to 3 months which is the validity of the report to schedule your appointment who knows...... so once you have your date get the police report

This is a spousal Visa they have to have police report original submitted with IV bill package. Because of NVC slowness lately its best to wait until you get your case# than go get your report and than you can send all your IV package documents in.

No the police report is needed for the IV package. Hence they won't receive a date until case complete.

It's only N7,000 for us in Ibadan but will take 3 days.

The Police report must be done in ALAGBON IKOYI............ and you can collect it the same day, if your fiancee got it somewhere else, they wont accept it during the interview

It's the same.

They send it to Alagbon for processing and back. It'll have Alagbon stamps and such.

Same process if you were outside of Nigeria.
