Waiting on NVC to assign interview date

How many people out there are waiting on the nvc to assign an interview date? At every state theses always some sort of issue for us, I'm assuming this stage will be no different. Once we get to the consulate I feel we are safe. All the reviews say the staff is really good.

I`m waiting too. 3 weeks have passed and still nothing. This process make ma crazy !

Same here. We have a NVC case complete date of August 10th 2012 and waiting for interview date for Mumbai Consulate...This wait is freaking ridiculous.. i don't know why US Citizens have to wait for 9 freaking months to be united with their spouse while these stupid fools on H-1 visa can bring their spouse along with them.. this is RIDICULOUS... i know most of you can feel my anger at this sheer stupid immigration policy... :ot2:

But just called NVC again and the lady said that they scheduele interviews for next month in the 2nd week of previous month and to check back next week to see if we made it to September scheduele or not.

This wait is a freaking killer!!!!! :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

it's very usual. tons of applications get processed everyday at NVC. But how to interview date is assigned is totally dependent on how quickly your foreign consulate gives NVC a list of available time slots to fill. It's a manual process which takes from few days to a month in most cases.

I understand it varries by location, but it seems most people from most locations are still waiting. Does this mean they now have to wait until next month to simply learn an interview date that will be another month away? I really don't understand why this isn't automated anyways.

Hey....I am waiting for my interview date since last 2 week yet no reply from NVC.My case was completed b4 20 days..Hope I could get interview in sept.!!! :unsure: What about you..?I saw mumbai consulate has already posted sept schedule but I am not there:-((.....................in list..!!Hope they will update it again and I can get my no. in that.!

I have been waiting for 3 weeks since approval. I called NVC on 20 Aug and they said that Sept was full... no more appointment dates left and that I had to call back in Sept to see if my wife made it onto the Oct list. They are "waiting for capacity" from the embassy.
