Does NVC only schedule interviews the second week of the month?

Hello. NVC says "unfortunately we were unable to schedule you for an August interview please call back on August 16th to see if we scheduled you for a September interview". She stated that interviews are only scheduled the 2nd week out of the month. But, I have seen others scheduled out of other time-frames. Does her message mean that they tried to schedule me for August but they were full? I am wanting a September interview but I would like to know the date in time to prepare for ticket itineraries as I want to fly there with my spouse for the interview. Can you please inform me if they only schedule the second week out of the month?

I'm interested in the answer too, as this is what we were told by them last week that we'll have to wait until the second week of August.

Oh, well I guess if you are still waiting then it must be true then. When did you get case complete?

Case got completed from the 16th of this month, and we are still made to wait a whole month for an interview date.

That's true closer than before. I have waited over a year to just get through where I am at now though.

If you mean the time when they decide the date then i received email on 7th June that an interview had been scheduled on 31st of July.

Yes, that is what I mean the time they decide.

No, my wife (the petitioner) will be waiting until next Monday to call back, since this was told her on Friday when she called.

Ok then. Be sure to let us know what they say Monday. I am going to call Friday.

This is not true. Please see the thread here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/375609-nvc-filers-july-2012/

Towards the bottom of the first post, it states:

When do interview dates get scheduled?

If you talk to operators at NVC, they'll always tell you they ONLY schedule during the second week of each month. This is a LIE. They schedule interviews ALL month long. Many people (like myself) have gotten scheduled during the last week of the month. I repeat, they schedule ALL month long.

My hubby called up NVC to check our status if case complete already, and the operator told him

that were already case complete since July 16. but they have to wait for USEM to send them list

of interview schedule dates which is done every 2nd of the month. so we are also waiting and

hoping to get a Sept. interview date. :star: and my hubby will try to call them back

first thing next week.

did I miss something here?? Your Profile Signature says your are at NVC stage and how you have been gotten your Interview Schedule??

Personally, I did not see any official documentation regarding Scheduling for the Interview. It goes through out the whole month but MOST of the cases got schedule for Interview within first 2 weeks of the month. It also depends on Embassy to Embassy how busy they are.

As I said, I don’t know whether it is a written rule ( first 2 weeks) or not but it is general trend these days.

good luck to all who are waiting for Interview appointment....

thank you
