What do I say when I call NVC for my case number?

The operator will ask you for your CIS number and see if your petition has arrived at the NVC

Provide your USCIS receipt number, and they will tell you if they have received your case or not. If case is received then will tell you if case number is generated.

When you call give your full name and date of birth, your spouse's full name and date of birth, your USCIS receipt number and tell them you will like to know what is your case number and IV number. If they give you this bit of information you are to now give them the email address of yourself and your spouse.

Call them at 603-334-0700

and say the following when someone finally gets to you

"I am the very model of a modern Major-General, and I demand my NVC Case number!... my UCIS number is XXXXXX "

When they hear this they will know you mean business! :D

You're like me waiting and waiting I was approved 6/29. Just called this morning still nothing. Know this as of friday NVC admitted they are backlogged and working overtime to get caught up. Somewhere in all that clutter is our cases. It will come.

Once they answer from your long hold you will be asked your CIS Receipt number. They will say "we don't show a file on you" or you will get "we received your case". If thats the case get case # (if they are really cool and nice sometimes they will even give IIN in same call). Be sure to give you and your hunni's email address

I called them and it took 24 min on hold and a 20 sec conversation. They recieved my case on July 13 and told me to try and call them back on aug 3.

Are you serious. They love that call in 20 days. Which in VJ speak means call everyday once in morning once in evening. Did you get case # and IIN #. What is the deal with this weeks of waiting for that. Goodness. I have been on hold now 20 minutes and counting. Just want to hear received and give my email addresses.

I got nothing from them only when to call them back. I plan on calling them before that though, good luck.

25 minutes on hold nothing recived yet for me. They really are vexing my spirit. You know we say we will wait a few days let it go. It's like the USCIS website that never updates until the approval. But we are like a moth to a flame we can't stay away. NVC is our drug now. :crying:

I am gertting anxious eading peoples files going wrong places and stuff. I just picture that Raiders of the lost ark pic and my case is somewhere in that mess. ughhhhhhhhh
