Hello fellow future immigrants

I finally got my PCC on 29 July 2015.. It had been a long journey for me.. Multiple visits to d RPO and police station..it would have been only an hours wait at d psk if my address on d passport and d current address matched.. Since I shifted to a different location things were very difficult for me..

Let me start when I applied for pcc online on 15/6/15.. Got appointment for 17.. Almost a week long wait and then I decided to go to the local.police station.. From there I was sent to RPO stating that they haven't received my case yet.. The employee at d RPO told me that he has not go any updates in his system whereas I had a text message from the osk stating that they have sent my documents already.. He askedne to come after a few days.. Again after 4 days I go to rpo ..he gives me a printed copy of my details.. I hand it to d officer at d police station.. He said that he would come at my home for verification.. After 2 days on 1st of July he comes and asks me to come to police station with documents for verification.. My police verification is done on July 4. After a week long wait when I don't hear anything I go back to RPO.. D emplore tells me he did not receive my case yet.. I remind him that its been a week since I am done with my verification to which he rudely replies that mine was not only a single case.. There r 100s more to look into.. While leaving he tells me to come back after 5 days.. I go back..he asks me to find my file and then tells me he will send it to psk tomorrow.. At this point I am happy that I will revieve in 2 to 3 days.. But to my shock I get an adverse report.. I had to go to d psk and wrote a letter to d passport officer about my current address.. Officer tells me u will get PcC in few days..I wait and wait for a message.. Almost 10 days now... I am impatient.. I go to d police station and then RPO. The employee calls at psk and tells me that ur PCC is ready to pick up.. Its been ready since a week.. I am.now so angry and i tell him I haven't received any message..he acts as if its not his mistake.. I go to PCC with my passport.. Get my PCC and scan it to my hubby.I find that the only problem for me to get the PCC was becoz of my change in address.

Hi Chimanrao,

Thanks for the detailed write up.

Im in a fix as my situation is different.

I have recently moved to Bangalore(3 days back) . I dont have any rental agreement as Im staying with my friend.
Im from Gulbarga and when enquired there about PCC,they said that they wont do it. It has to be done from Bangalore or Hubli.
I need the PCC for processing the my Canadian PR application. I have Aadhar card, voters id,driving licence all of them issued in Gulbarga. I can get the current address on my Company's letter head(IBM).
Will that be accepted?
Thanks,
Vijay

Hi, my fiancé has k1 via interview next month at Mumbai. As in regards to the PCC, police clearance certificate my fiancé obtained that from DCP office already, but I read somewhere that the PCC has to be from regional passport office, is that true?

We don't mind getting it from the regional passport office too but the wait time appointment is 2 weeks and then they said it takes 2 weeks to receive it, we don't have that much time because our interview date at mumbai is before that. Will they accept the PCC from the DCP police station office?
