Our NOA2 was sent on June 18, and the case was received on July 9. According to the operator I spoke with on the phone today, he said it would take up to 20 business days to create a case number.
Is that the case, or has anybody else heard the same thing?

We got approved last june 29 and they also told us that they recieve the papers from USCIS last july 9, but in my realization my mom got approved last july 6 and my sister call aswell to see if its already there and they told my sister the same thing, how come all papers approved before me and after me got in NVC all the same time july 9.... I dont know if the agents are lying or thats the spill that the NVC head told them to tell us..... This is really fustrating.... Ill appriciate more if they just tell us the truth rather than hoping to have it soon then its nothing..... God bless us all waiting.....

After reading through a lot of people's experiences about this stage, it seems like the best way to get through the NVC process is to be persistent and call them until a case number is received.

Our NVC case number took 20 days exactly from the day they received the file.. that is 20 business days.. patience.. you are through the longest wait, NVC is fairly quick.
