Hey !

Im just wondering if anyone knows if my case being "transffered" is good or bad ?

I did get a birth certificate RFE that i sent away the very same day and that i know they recieved and reviewed.

this is the message :

"On July 3, 2012, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made."

Thanks for answers :)

Being transferred to the California Service Centre (CSC) is kind of a double edged sword, on the one hand there is a strong likelihood that you wont be called for an interview. On the other hand, on the downside, your wait time from now to decision date will more than likely be much greater than if you had been called for an interview.

In my case I filed in Dec and was transferred on the 1st of Feb and I havent heard a thing since then. But I know of people who filed in the middle of march and were approve through interview in the middle of June.

SO it can be good or bad depending on how you look at it

That is where they get transferred to. Your hard copy notice will say so, and you will get another status update when California receives your file. That update won't mention CSC either.
