Hello Everyone,

I'm very close to finishing filling up my I-130,I-485/I-864/I-765... I'm just a lil bit confused about this I-693 form..Do I have to make an appointment to see a designated surgeon for my medical and let the surgeon fill out the rest of the forms and let it sealed and when its done thats the time I have to attached the sealed envelope in all my forms??? I know its kinda easy to understand but when you filling all these forms sometimes your mind is already tired and confused sometimes..I just want to make it right... Oh by the way I'm also 14 weeks pregnant so I don't know what to do...If anyone can help/advice me I would greatly appreciate it! thank you!!!

There shouldn't be any problem with you being pregnant. Just find a Civil surgeon wherever you are located and make an appointment. HE/SHE will fill out the form and seal it during your visit but make sure you have a copy (Some require you to bring it with you), and an ID or some sort of identification-- when you go make the appointment they'll tell you what to bring. Also,
Mine was about $150 with all the shots you have to get done, examinations, the appointment with the surgeon, etc. Here is a link if you live in the US:

Good luck!

Hi, Some Civil Surgeons try to rip people off and charge as much as $500, take a look at this link to see if you can find a cheaper one in your area http://www.visajourn...nt-rip-you-off/

The OP is not adjusting from a K-1, so she needs a full medical exam done by a Civil Surgeon. The CS will seal the envelope and you will send in the sealed envelope with you package. Don't open it! The CS knows what to do about pregnancy, so don't worry.

Yes, that link posted above is to a thread for those adjusting from a K-1 to find a CS that will not insist on giving a medical that is not required. You need the full medical and required vaccinations. However, you should still call around to the civil surgeons in your area to find the one that quotes you the cheapest price for your exam and the I-693.

Call uscis on (1-800-375-5283), follow the prompts, enter in you're zip code. And you should be given a list of designated USCIS civil surgeons :)
Once you've chosen one, call them up and ask the fee, abd make an appointment...
Before you do go, i strongly advise you to have a record of you're immunisations on hand :)
It's not a big deal if you don't, just means you'll have to pay for vaccines... usually its (MMR, HEB A n B, VERICELLA, and TB, you will have to pay for the PPD) in total you're looking at 800..... it depends on where you go too :)

It honestly is not that hard, if you just take it easy!! And be organized about it all :)
As for you being pregnant, advise the surgeon you are :)

Good luck with you're process :)

I would get your vaccination record from Canada. We were able to get my husband's emailed to him within 24 hours. It will save you money and trouble.

Also, I never had much luck with the USCIS civil surgeon list. I just googled "civil surgeon immigration in (my city)" and found a good one with lots of information on her website.
