Advanced Endorsement of Marriage Contract/ Certificate to NSO

We're getting married this month. And I wanted to get a new passport with my married name before I fly to be with him (non-US country at the moment).

I've tried searching for updated information on this... even went on the NSO website. BUT, I never read anything that gave me enough information.

I was hoping VJ members can help. :)

What is the step-by-step process for having advanced endorsement of our marriage contract to NSO? We will be getting married in Manila, so I was hoping this can be done at least a month after our wedding.

Okey here are the procedure for advance endorocement for your MC once you got married notify the local civil registry where you apply for you marriage license then you have to tell them that you would like to have a advance endorcement then its up to them if they want to use electronic endorcement or manual they did mine manual and i have to pay them 2,500 pesos but some of my group friends in FB told me that they didnt pay anything guess those officials are just being corrupt so anyways i got my MC in NSO less than 2 weeks and the advanage of advance endorcement is that you dont need to wait for such a long time to get your MC coz most of the timeit will take 3 to 6 months to have it filed in NSO

^ That's great to hear. Which local registrar and which NSO office did you file with?

2,500 sounds like a lot. But I think it's a small price to pay compared with me getting all these documents done through Phil embassies abroad

You go process ur MC personally .. Example getting married at the court after the ceremony and signing of papers they will tell u that ull get back on a certain date to get the copy of ur MC.

I suggest that u get the cp number of the judge secretary cuz she will be the one sending them to the local registrar office. Then ask if she could her you rush the mc cuz u need NSO copy asap then she will instruct u to do things.... And u will be the one to endorse it at NSO office.. And i dont think u need to pay like 2000 pesos.

Well yeah I know how corrupt people are here in the Philippines, all I did is I tipped the secretary(1 kilo of lechon from cebu  )for her to move the MC fast then she advised me to go to the registrar office and look for a certain person that will help me move around cuz it need to be signed by the Local registrar head officer. then after he signed the MC i requested for a certified true copy of the MC, only paid 150 pesos for 2 copies. you shouldn't tolerate corrupt people around Government Offices. if they ask you to pay something which is not reasonable try to ask somebody else from the office. I know not all people who is working in the Government is corrupt. :)

Better yet, when they ask for the money, ask for a receipt... no receipt ... no money.
