We're currently waiting for an NVC case number, and we have everything ready except one thing.

My wife filed her 2010 taxes incorrectly and had to refile. She has her 2009 and 2011 tax return transcripts in hand. She has met income requirements with a large margin every year.

She has been working seasonally for two years, and was unemployed between September 2011 - February 2012 (while she was with me in Norway), but held a seasonal job from Feb - May of this year, and now got offered and accepted a permanent managerial position with a good salary starting next week. Since we filed two weeks before she began working again, she is listed as unemployed in the I-130 package.

If her 2010 transcript does not become available soon, would you recommend sending the NVC one transcript (2011), along with the last three months pay stubs showing $3,500 monthly, plus a work contract/employer letter from her new current employer? (she'll be making about 30k base plus bonus and commissions)

I could then bring to the interview her first current pay stub or two, and the 2009 and 2010 tax transcripts. Or should ALL be sent to NVC? This is embassy Stockholm.

Even though she doesn't have a transcript for 2010, she could use a copy of what was actually filed, OR simply state the income from what was filed and provide only the 2011 tax return. Evidence of "current income" can be accomplished with the employment contract and just one recent pay stub. Modern US pay stubs show year to date income, so no need for multiple pay stubs.

We thought about sending copies of the W2s, but since she worked seasonally, she worked for 5 different employers in three different states. Her 2010 taxes were somewhat of a mess and everything is now with a professional for refiling. Neither of us are at all competent when it comes to taxes.

We'll send in the 2011 return transcript, along with the previous employer's most recent pay stub and a copy of the current work contract/employer letter. A current pay stub as well, if available at the time of sending. Then I'll bring the rest to the interview I suppose.

If we can't get a current pay stub in time for the sending, and there's doubt, does the NVC send out RFEs for this kind of stuff, or would it more likely just be asked for at the interview?

Evidence of current income is more likely to be asked for at the interview but you'll still need to state an income from the 2010 income in the past income section of the affidavit.
