my Approval letter was on April 23, 2012.. very frustrating.. I have 7 months old daughter that is already US citizen that is staying with her mom in Vietnam and NVC have not receive anything in the system yet... I am a little worry that it might get lost. Is it supposed to take this long???

I replied to you on the other topic (NVC did not receive our case). Our petition was also approved on april 23rd and NVC did not receive our case yet!

Thanks for all the replies. I will keep trying to contact them even though one operator said it should be 15 days and other one told me 20 days.

This is insane! USCIS is still holding to our case and did not send it out to NVC yet! I really hope we NVC will receive our case soon

this is making me go even more crazy. Can someone please help!! how can I push this case out of CSC???? they keep telling me to wait 90days! that is not right!

Just received my NOA2 today and I'm very happy of course, but reading updates about the NVC backlog makes it bittersweet. Not too many months ago it was taking 1 - 2 weeks from NOA2 to case number.

I think the current backlog is due to a sudden surge in the number of petitions approved at the biggest service centers, CSC especially. They had a massive backlog and now they're finally on steroids, handing the workload over to NVC intake.

Hopefully it'll even out sooner than later.

This waiting is killing me!! Mine is still not NVC, Let me know when you get your's.

Your case sounds just like mine... After I received the email from the NVC research unit I contacted my congressman and asked him to look into it... They just sent an inquiry to USCIS and the NVC to see if there is a problem with my petition...

You should do the same

Still waiting for NVC to receive our case as well...NOA2 date of May 11th. I call every day, and keep getting the "20 BUSINESS DAYS" response. Today, I asked what my recourse is if it's not received by 20 business days, and the operator...laughs. LAUGHS! What a putz.

USCIS won't tell me anything over the phone as to whether my case has actually left their hands yet or not - all they will tell me is the standard canned NOA2 parrot response...not helpful.

They get till June 10th, and then I'll be on the horn to my Congressman!
