Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. Can anyone provide me a general answer regarding the processing time for I-751 (VSC)? Thanks a lot!

At the moment it says that they're working on I-751s that were received in July 2011.

Thats the oldest one in the system. Ours was 5 months. Check people's timelines here, also the threads for the monthly filers give summaries of percentages actually approved. The USCIS timeline is useless.

Thank you Gary and Alla. I was glad to learn that your case was approved within 5 months. When did you file your application? It at lease could give me a bit of hope that some cases are approved within the "half-year" time frame :)

That was way back when.

USCIS timeline is usually useless, but it is very close in this case.

Currently, no August 2011 VSC filers on this site have been approved yet. As I said, 10 months.

We filed in November 2010 and were approved (green cards arrived in the mail) in March, 2011. Our son (K-2 to follow) filed in June 2011 and was approved, green card in the mail, in November 2011. 5 Months also. No interviews for anyone. It is in our timeline, click on my timeline. I did not enter our son's timeline, I use Alla's timeline as the basis.

To conclude thet they are "working on July 2011" when our son filed in June and has had his card for nearly 6 months is a little preposterous. The USCIS "timelines" are purposefully worthless. By using the "oldest" in the system, usually one rife with problems, yours will always be faster. Results in less phone calls for them.

Our son filed less than one year ago and received his card in November 2011. 5 months Not to say it could not change, but it is not "way back when" What I say doesn't matter anyway, it is what it is. At the time our case took 5 months to approve they were working on September cases, two months before us, if you go by that.

The USCIS timeline uses the oldest case they are "working on"

Link to August 2011 filers' last updated list is here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/322565-i-751-august-2011-filers/page__view__findpost__p__5360838

0% approved as of 5/7/2012.

I am not saying they have not approved anyone. I said they have not approved any August filers on this site (or at least those who participate in this thread).

The processing time... it's a hit and miss thing. If you are lucky you can get it approved in a few months.

If you are not lucky? Like me and few members here, more than a year. We even have a case that's 3 years with 3 interviews and NO RESULT.
