Request for Evidence Response Review

Hi yall,

After waiting 5 months for a decision, I received a letter requesting additional evidence of having met in person. I replied and have been waiting since.

My questions is, have anyone been requested this? and how long did it take you to get the answer?

I am just afraid of this step taking another 5 months.

Usually when an RFE takes place, approval is very near, so provided you've satisfied their requirements, I would expect you will see approval very soon

It won't take another 5 months... usually it just delays the process of few more weeks (to few months, but it's less common).

A RFE isn't necessarily a bad thing, it means someone is at least looking at your application. We received a RFE and got our NOA2 two weeks after we sent the information back they wanted...........GOOD LUCK......

usually takes 2weeks but ours took more than a month. but no worries, you'll get yours soon!

I just had a question.. did you forget to include this evidence in your original submission or they just wanted more? and if so what did you send?

1) Letter of intent. I had already sent it, but it was a copy. I guess they wanted an original.

2)proof of having met. For this i sent copies of our passports, and airline ticket stubs.

I hope this is enough...

You can also send any receipts for payment for you both when you were together, boarding passes actually prove you boarded the flight/s ... maybe also a couple of photos as secondary evidence.
