No, Form 1722 is entirely different from a Tax Return Transcript. Form 1722 is used to verify your tax filing status for the previous three years, as either current, delinquent or there was no requirement that you file.

Form 1722 is an obsolete form. It was used to request account information for purposes of applying for mortgages, student loans, etc. If you want to order return transcripts you should do so on the IRS website. Here is the link for ordering transcripts:

I have my IRS Tax return transcript already.I' m just confused about the form 1772. Thank you guys for the clarification about this matter.

Obviously the USCIS is not communicating with the IRS. USCIS is asking you to provide information (tax transcripts) with a form that was once used to verify filing status as an alternative to actual tax returns. The Form 1722 is basically a 4506-T. USCIS is asking you for tax transcripts using an old form.

So, I mailed the original tax transcripts to USCIS with my N400 application. I have the copies with me now. Do I need to re-order transcripts from IRS for my interview too or I should just bring the copies?
