citizenship certificate number?

Someone asked this before:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/210064-where-can-i-find-my-citizenship-certificate-number/

However, my citizenship certificate has two A numbers.

I have a registration number that starts with an A and then another A number at the top right of the certificate right above the word citizenship--just like this sample doc:

http://everifyandi9news.com/2011/10/uscis-unveils-new-employment-authorization-document-ead/

If you look closely there are two A numbers in that sample certificate just like mine.

So which is it?

Is it for I-129F form or I-134?

Both form ask for "If a United States citizen through naturalization, give certificate of naturalization number"

(It is not asking for "A" number)

That mean on your certificate it ask for CERTIFICATE number that is on top right corner in red ink.

another line ask for "If a lawfully admitted permanent resident of the United States, give A-number"

This is your green card number. I believe on certificate the 2nd A number is your old green card number... As it state on certificate it is REGISTRATION number not CERTIFICATE number.

No, as explained above, my certificate of citizenship has two "A" numbers. I need to know which is the certificate number.

BTW, it's for SF-86, a government clearance form. I figured this site would know about these things.

Well you posted under K-1 Visa...

The only thing I can tell you about Certificate of naturalization is this.

The certificate that start with A number on top is certificate number and it start with A because it was obtain through parental naturalization or adoption. If obtained through naturalization it would not have A number at top but just number. (The red numbers is the certificate number" The A number bellow I would guess green card number or some number of application. That possible the A number but I believe it become invalid?

That all I know.

I guess you filling part 9.2 of SF86 (It ask for Alien number and Certificate number. So I would put Certificate number in red and alien number in black) That my best suggestion.

A Certificate of Citizenship and a Certificate of Naturalization have as much in common as a cat with a dog. What are we talking about here?

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

as explained above, we're talking about the certificate of citizenship.

My certificate looks like this (if you look closely there are two numbers, not sure which is the certificate number):
