Haha, old internet handle. The full name should have been "HuffyTheCampfireSlayer" as a riff on Buffy but VJ didn't allow for a name that long at the time.

Oh, and I just checked my tracking for my package. The AZ Lockbox got it this morning. Does anyone know how long it will be until we're $680 poorer?

received a text message and email early early this morning around 1:00am stating that USCIS received my application...

Agreed! My application was delivered on 1/7 (Sat) and still no text message and the check hasn't been touched, either.

I also realized I didn't include any copies of state taxes. Is this important? Is there a way to mail additional evidence without it delaying your application? Also, I didn't have time to order transcripts before it was time to submit this application but I think I might order them now to bring to the interview. I simply submitted copies of my federal tax forms.

05/2007 - filed I-130 via DCF in Frankfurt

08/2007 - interview to prove bona fide marriage

09/2007 - hubby PCSed to GA

10/2007 - hubby deployed to Iraq

04/2008 - hubby on RnR in Germany

08/2008 - received CR-1 visa

12/2008 - flew to GA alone to welcome home the hubs

09/2009 - PCSed to CA

03/2010 - we're pregnant!

06/2010 - applied for German "BBG" to retain German citizenship during naturalization

I've always been a bad student when it comes to long-term memorizing things. I'd sit down the night before a test and study all night, the next morning go to school and ace the test and a week later wouldn't remember any of the stuff, lol...

So honestly, I don't know if it even makes sense for me to start memorizing the questions now :blink:

And also - what state do I memorize the state specific questions for? The last state we lived in?

I was somewhat similar. I knew the basics, but would fill in the details by cramming the week before. I haven't really studied much. I did have a US Citizenship questions app on my phone a while ago before I had to reformat, so I will probably look for that again on the Android Market. It seems fairly straight forward (to me as a native English speaker). I just need to memorize a few numbers and a list of states for original colonies, etc. I will probably approach that closer to the interview date and I'm certainly not going to worry about it before I do biometrics.

I'm really not sure what state you would us. Do you still file taxes in a specific state or anything like that? If so I would assume that's the state you would use. But that is purely a guess. I could be totally wrong there. Maybe make a thread to ask the question to the rest of the N-400 forum? I'm sure there's someone in, or who has recently been in your position.
