As per my knowledge, NVC will ask for the required docs twice only. they will forward the case to the embassy and in the checklist they will mark them incomplete.

In Other countries Ap time is only 45 or 90 days and in Pakistan 1 year 2 year Why??????

because 90% of pakistani's do arrange marriage and that explains why they would come investigate about the relationship.. thats why it is a longer AP

As per my knowledge, NVC will ask for the required docs twice only. they will forward the case to the embassy and in the checklist they will mark them incomplete.

I was asked to send in the Original birth certificate (once) after which I had my wife call them and informed them that the Original was enclosed in the package so they marked it up for a review by the supervisor. Today at 6:05 a.m., I received an email from NVC stating that my petition is now eligible for further processing and the petitioner / principal applicant will receive an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition.

Now just about 3 hours before receiving that email, my wife called them to get an update and she was told that it was still with a supervisor who had asked for whole package so he/she could review it. They did not ask for it (second time) as of now and I have no clue what the above email leads pertains to, Whether they have accepted the birth certificate, or it is still under review or they are going to mark it as incomplete and forward to the embassy.

So, if they mark any item as incomplete in the checklist, what should be done? Get another original/certified copy and present at time of interview?

Also, who generates the checklist and when is it sent to the applicant/petitioner?

NVC generates checklist, if any document is incomplete they will let you know and you should bring all the required documents with you to the interview. Give it some time(minimum two weeks ) all the procedure will be clear to you. The topic/issue here is related to AP. thanks for understanding

Administrative Processing

Immigrant Visa Case Number: ISL2010xxxxxx 01 ISL

Case Creation Date: 03-Mar-2010

Status Updated Date: 01-Dec-2012

our visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.

For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV.

Response from the online update from CEAC.

Mandatory AP is usually when they send the information to washington for background checks

AP could be anything as local background checks, document checking, verifying where you live etc

& What is "Necessary Administrative Precessing" ???

Got me on that one! Just when we get used to their wording they change it.. Im guessing it means AP which they must finish in order to issue the visa.
