Hi,

I became a LPR in 2003 got married out of country and filed an I-130 for my wife in march 2004. Since then I've been waiting until today when i just received an email saying the case has been moved from the Texas service center to the California center. What does this mean? It is this a good sign that the process will move faster? Does any one have a similar experience?

My wife is now in the US on a student visa doing her Masters and I'm hoping her case will be done before she finishes.

I also looked at the CSC processing dates and I-130 for LPR show dates of Jan 2005? I'm a bit confused?

Could anyone on the forum shed some light on this situation!

I see that on the USCIS table, you are correct lately due to reorginization the department has moved processing of 129F and 130 Family based visas from Texas, and Nebraska to California. You may want to do to things.

  1. Create an account on the USCIS site to check your case status. https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp
  2. Call them, it looks like they are past your filing date and they should have looked at your case by now.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

An approved I-130 isn't enough.. a visa number needs to be available as well.
