Guys i just want to ask about POE.

Im thinking of going thru JFK for the reason of the 90 day working permit. I'm a bit confused where is the POE if i will get a ticket from my point of origin to LA then LA to JFK then JFK to my destination. Would I be given the stamp at JFK or in LA? Thanks for the enlightenment:-)

March 02, 2011 Received letter from NVC
March 05, 2011 Payment cleared
March 06, 2011 sent the DS3032 via email to NVC

March 18, 2011 received e-mail regarding the IV Fee payment and the package for AOS

May 27, 2011 Received E-mail from NVC about the INterview Date

LA would be your POE...not JFK!

Removing of Conditions Timeline

05/29/2007 - Sent package to NSC

05/31/2007 - Package received by NSC

06/01/2007 - Date on NOA (1 day after they received our package!)

06/11/2007 - NOA and Biometrics notice received via snail-mail

06/21/2007 - Biometrics taken

04/03/2008 - Transferred to CSC

05/14/2008 - Approved (notified via email)

05/21/2008 - Card received

The "POE" is the 1st place you land in the US, That is where you get your passport stamped and hand in your illustrious envelope, You will not be guaranteed a temp EAD stamp @ JFK POE, Seems like a 50/50 chance these days, If they still exist that is.....

Answer = Stamp will be at LA "POE"

Another way of putting it. Unless you ORIGINALLY have a flight booked to use JFK as a POE (so practically NO flights from Canada, and definitely no flights from Dublin or Shannon), don't spend extra money for a side-trip (landing at LA then return-flight from LA-JFK) there.
