DS 156 'auto generated' form?

For the ds-156 form, the Manila embassy website actually states in is instructions that the bar-code is required on all incoming ds-156 forms, well at least for k-1 visas.

But did you know his: There is now a new DS-156 form dated 2006? I still have not been able to find that one on a link yet. Even the Department of State (hence the DS in DS-156) does not have the new form yet.

A friend told me that his fiancé got the new form in a recent K-packet. According to the Embassy, it is still OK to use the old form. (For now)

This one expires in 2007: https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp

It's the same one posted and required by the consulate in Mexico after November 1, 2006 and appears to be the most up to date. Worked fine for me.
