Well that was easy!

AOS Interview was at 10:30am today, we arrived at 9:45, were called in at 10 and out by 5 after!

Apparently alot of her appointments hadn't shown up.

She flicked through our wedding album, asked for utility bills, ID from both and a health care statement. Asked where we got married, If I had an EAD, about 5 questions from the terrorist, prostitution list and done!

She said I was one of the fortunate ones whose security checks had all been done and I should have my green card in 5-10 days. In hindsight, I'm so glad I didn't change my name when I got married the first time (would have been a Smith) and my maiden name is not very common.

So we walked out of there with smiles on our faces, to be met by a FedEx driver who had just hit our truck! Poor guy, he was new, young and very very sorry.

I think Dave's more relieved than me, he was a nervous wreck this morning, now he's saying exactly what I did after my London interview - was that it?!

Now it's time for a glass or 2 of champagne and a relaxing day together :)

Oh I'm soooooooo glad the namechecks are done! Congratulations!!

I wonder just HOW many in the Pittsburgh office are still awaiting namecheck results? When our AO phoned us a couple of weeks ago, he said there were 'several' in the same boat....

Well anyway I'm really glad to see you're all done, done, done!

Much damage to the truck? ugh.....
