Seriously considering moving out of Florida

Also...remember you told me Florida would be under water by 2050? Get out while you can!! :P:D

oh i know it lol... we have toyed with this idea for awhile now, especially since DH works from home, we can live anywhere! I think he has his heart set on Colorado, while I am partial to Nevada. I am happy there is absolutely nothing keeping me in FL (no fam/friends), i would love to take the opportunity to pick up and go!

sorry though, AL is not on our list :lol:

Colorado sounds nice!! I've always wanted to visit there. I'm not sure if it's cheaper to live there than Florida though, which is what we really want to find in order to move.

Don't wanna move to AL? I can be very convincing though.

:D Well to be honest the Alabama idea isn't 100% sure for us, but like I said we are seriously considering it.

I think we'd end up somewhere in themountains - NC, VA or WVa

Yeah I definitely want to be near mountains. (L)

I don't have to be right in them, but close enough to drive to them easily.

i like the idea of mountains, but in many places they are, precipitation is as well. 5pm showers I can handle, Snow, sleet, ice, grey, no thanks! I want sunshine. I lived in CT for 23 years and dayum it stays grey alot. I love the sun!!! :dance:

I moved to Alabama 16 months ago, and I have a great job here.

The weather is beautiful, everyone here is really friendly.

I have not picked up one bit of a Southern accent.

Racism is everywhere, not just in the South.

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

I guess I am just not used to the Southern accent and in my family it's always been a no-no to talk southern. Maybe a northern superiority complex lingering? :lol: Imagine a true southerner and how they think a strong NY accent sounds. It probably hurts their ears like a strong southern accent hurts mine. :P

A strong Southern accent does not hurt my ears. I just cant make some of them out. :P

I am from the North, and people here can pick that accent out soon as I open my mouth. :whistle:
