They do beautiful hair in the Mid East. My SILs looked gorgeous in their wedding/engagement pics. They don't get their hair done regularly because they wear hijab so it's pretty much a waste. Same for mani's and pedi's..they don't wear polish unless they're on their periods so that would be a waste too.

I can't paint my nails either 'cause then when I make wudu the water won't get to it. It's a relief for me though now since I'm not always fussing about when I chip the polish a bit.

I don't wear make-up either 'cause I'd have to reapply at least 5x per day.

Someone PLEASE tell me that's been photo-shopped...

And yet, there's one more good reason for the K1 process to require couples to have met in person prior to filing....

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

well i won't repeat what everyone else has said, and yes it is hard some days you feel like you are all alone. i think being married does make it harder when you are so anxious to start your lives together and be a family, i'm just thankful i'm only 2300 kms away and a 12 hour drive from weekend visits with my husband and our nightly talks on phone and internet. its the others here who are oceans away from their loved ones i really feel for. and i think we can all be thankful knowing this journey will end and we can be with our loved ones think of the military wives and husbands who are away protecting us not knowing if they will make it back to their familys. tonight say a prayer for them and their safe return. terry and george
