Case Status not Found on USCIS Website?

I tried to input our Receipt Number - EACxxxxxxxxxx - from the I-797C/NOA at the USCIS.gov website and it says:

"Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283"

Does this mean I won't be able to track my case online? :(

Don't worry too much about this tool.It can be at the same time stressful and helpful. You just have to take it with a pinch of salt.Sometimes it stays useless for quite a while and you think your case is lost who knows where, and then, after checking it 29,876.00 times something new pops-up.

It's just not always updated to the minute. My case could not be found still, when i had already receive NOA.Then, we had our interview last monday at 12.30 (approved) and the "my case status" was already on "card production" the very same day around 6pm ! So don't worry and relax, everything will be fine.

Thanks for the reply :star: I actually just read at the bottom of the NOA that the case is tracked by the application number on the biometrics letter, not the NOA. Whoops, didn't notice that part before  At least I know there's nothing wrong with my case

I used this tool too when we are still processing the CR1, and i have it set up to send me my NOA2 (approval) .. but hell, I never received anything. So I am not surprise if your case is not yet in the system.

that number doesn't work, you need the number on your Bio letter!

I received the 'case status not found' message on my case (using my biometrics letter number) until the day I was approved, so even if your biometrics letter number does not work, there's still no cause for concern. :)

My biometrics number works but they have not updated it a single time. Not even a last update aka "touch" has been done to my case. The only date on it is the date they received it Sept 6th. Iv had biometrics and even that wasn't recorded/updated on there.

Last time I signed up for text and email notification, received them after my I received my 2-year conditional card, so I wouldn't worry until you don't hear anything after you're outside of the normal processing timeframe.

Best
