Yay JP!

Yeah Hicham just doesn't know if he is going to start tomorrow or Sunday. He told me to try to see when Saudi Arabia is fasting... I guess he'll find out somehow.

Have a good day!

Saudi Arabia is fasting tomorrow.

I believe it's a general consensus (lol, like such a thing exists here), that the moon won't be visable tonight in North America, so if you follow the moon here, it will be Sunday inshaAllah.

Also, uber excitment at the masjid today. There was a photographer taking pictures during jummah. I thought it was just someone from the local paper doing something about Ramadan, but it turns out it was photographers who flew in from London to do a piece on congressional candidate Keith Ellison, who's a member of our masjid. Woooo, I might be in the paper in London!

I'm gonna call my husband this evening to see if they're fasting in Egypt tomorrow. If so I'll start too. I wouldn't rely on calendars. Noura, ask your fiance when they start in Morocco or check Islamic websites online. Last year Morocco started and ended a day later than Egypt. That happens sometimes.

My husband talked with his friend in Egypt a short time ago, and the word was that they're going to start on Sunday.

Ack! I give up! Our state jurisprudence council just decided fasting begins tomorrow here in Minnesota. Dang it, just when I thought I had it all figured out!

I just talked to Mohamed..he doesn't know yet. Arrrghhh! He joked, Whenever Mubarak wants us to fast we'll fast, even if that's next week.
