Congrats to you guys.

I have a quick question about NAO2, is there somewhere on the USCIS site I need to look to see what happened to my status? I checked today and it says Last Updated: 09/20/2006. Is this what everyone is referring to as a "touch"? What will it say once it goes to the NAO2 step of the process? Thanks.

CITIZENSHIP: Nov 27, 2012 - May 9, 2013
Note: I immigrated from Canada, not T&T - the timeline is reflective of this.

PRESENT - IR-5 Story (reuniting a family)
I-130 for Parents - 2013
Aug ?? - mailed I-130 packages for both mother and father
Sept 10 - NOA1 date
Sept 16 - NOA1s received

2014

Feb 25 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office for processing

Feb 26 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred to my local office for processing

Feb 28 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Mar 18 - got emails saying that the petitions are approved smile.png

08/11/06- NVC sent to consulate, received I-797C Notice of Action confirming case is approved (snailmail)

08/14/06- Consulate receives approved petition

08/29/06- Interview

08/31/06- Visa Approved !!!

You shouldn't feel guilty at all ....... now that there's one less file to approve it SHOULD make it quicker for the rest of us to advance to the golden "approval" gates .... :P

  • October 4, 5, 7, 13 & 17 2006 Touches! 50 day address change... Yes Judith is beautiful, quit staring at her passport photo and approve us!!! Shaming works! LOL

Just be happy and don´t worry!

Congratulations from us too (eventhough we had to wait close to 150 days ;) )

I don´t think there is anybody who would blame you for getting approved sooner before them.

Cases are different and Service Center processing times are just too different that everyone could get approved in a same time frame. Besides of that you got lucky and you didn´t have to mess with that new IMBRA rule what really everything has messed up for several weeks and put a lot of petitions on delay.
