NOA2 9/18/06. Touched on 9/19/06???

I was notified of my NOA2 approval on 9/18/06. Today, I see that my "touch" date has updated to 9/19/06. That seems strange to me. Why did they touch me after I'm approved already? Anyone else notice their touch dates being updated after their NOA2 date?

AOS I-485

07/10/07 - Sent I-485 via USPS Priority Mail to Chicago Lockbox

07/23/07 - Received NOA1 in my home mailbox

08/13/07 - Received ASC Biometrics Appointment Letter in my home mailbox

08/31/07 - USCIS mailed out Appointment letter with Postmark Date 8/31/07

09/04/07 - Received actual Appointment Letter (Interivew Date 10/30/07)

09/06/07 - Completed Biometrics Appointment at local ASC

10/30/07 - Scheduled AOS Interview Appointment - Approved

I-751

08/13/09 - Sent I-751 to CSC

08/17/09 - Receipt date of NOA

09/16/09 - Biometrics

09/17/09 - "Touched"

12/15/09 - Card production ordered

12/17/09 - Approval notice sent

12/21/09 - Received 10-Year GC and Welcome Letter

JAFA, touches mean your case is worked, nothing more. If it is an approval or RFE you will get an email saying so, and your case status will be updated.

Hmm.. how do you know you've been touched if you didn't check the on-line status? I check on-line status to find out I've been touched.

Thanks! Did check the on-line status this morning. Probably only wishful thinking, but am hoping that others have been "touched", status wasn't updated and then they got NOA2. Realize it's a long shot, but am still hoping.

My case hasn't been touched since I received the approval update. I hope that doesn't mean they haven't sent it to NVC yet!!! :huh:

I'm ready to see some more approvals soon, however....so keep 'em coming USCIS :yes:

12/30/2008: Overnighted I-751 package to VSC

01/06/2009: Check cashed

01/06/2009: NOA (arrived 01/09/09)

01/23/2009: Biometrics appt letter received

01/31/2009: Biometrics scheduled

05/20/2009: APPROVED

06/23/2009: 10 Year Green Card arrived

Touched means the date changed but not case status. You are checking the date!

Oh? I'm confused... I'm looking on the "Last Updated" date on the USCIS website under my Portfolio. Was under the understanding that if that date changes it means "some" action was taken. This constitutes a "Touch"? When I go to my receipt number for "Case Status" there's no change from NOA1.

Intent of posting was to check the likelyhood that I may be receiving an RFE or NOA2 soon. CSC seems to not be constistent with e-mailing (some don't get e-mail, others get three) and updating website.

More curiousity than anything else. Still just "hanging in there" and trying to be patient.

Yes mine was approved and touched, with exactly the same dates as yours.

Thanks! Crossing fingers even more. Just got "touched" again. Two days in a row now. Funny... No action for a very long time and lots of action now. Still no change in status though...
