My fiancee stayed at Hotel Soriente which is a two minute walk from St. Luke's and stated the hotel was okay. It wasn't her favorite but it did the job. The hotel was priced around 1,300 pesos per night. She then transferred to Miramar hotel at about 1,500 pesos per night and thought the stay was much better for the interview. Miramar is across the street from U.S. Embassy. Internet is accessible form rooms but not that great.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

We are going to stay in the Manila Bay Serviced Apartment with my fiancee her 12 year old daughter, 14 year old son and our 1 year old son. Does anyone have any information on this place? It is a good price and we can spend time as a family.

I stayed in Casa Bocobo Hotel last June 2-5, 2015 for my medical a walking distance from SLEC. Got a deluxe twin Room at the 3rd floor was huge and very clean. The hotel alley was very quiet, very courteous staff and a very good Panacotta dessert at the restaurant. The sinigang na hipon, lechon kawali and bicol express was the best. If only Casa bocobo is near USEM I would love to go back but since its really far from USEM I will have Bayview Hotel for the Interview on June 26...

Casa Bocobo is very near the USEM, I passed it each morning on my morning walk. I would say it less than 8 minutes by foot from the Hotel to USEM.......

We have only stayed in one hotel in Manila, that's the Kabayan. I have stayed there twice with my Fiancé, Im going back this August and have rented the Kabayan for two more stays. We meet in Manila and go from there to her home on Leyte, then on the way back home for me in the USA we go back through Manila and stay for a few more nights. I think it is very good money wise. Its about $50 a night, and we are treated very well. It comes with free breakfast for every morning you stay. I think its a 3 star, its not the Hyatt but its nice for the price.

Liza and I stayed at Tune Hotel, Ermita, Manila during my go there. Was a decent room with a TV, fold out table, a large shower and toilet in separate room. Bed was a king coil queen size, one of the most comfortable beds I had the pleasure to sleep on. Wifi in rooms, A/C, all of which stated on website that were pay by the day, however I had no additional charges. At 40 dollars a night, was well worth it.

Only problem was... Mabini street. When they say "heart of the night life" they should just say "red light district". Other than that, was a short 10 minute walk to the waterfront boulevard, and then another 10 to the US Embassy if even all that.

We stayed at the Regency Grand Suites for 17 days. It sits right by Robinson's, where my fiancee enjoyed going to TGI Fridays. The deluxe room was rather crowded for my tastes, but it grew on me. The private balcony was smallish, and as I get vertigo sometimes, I did not spend much time out on it. Sorta like that movie with Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. She liked it, I was nervous around it. But the kitchenette was useful, as was the proximity to the mall and grocery shopping. The baggers will cart your groceries from the mall across the street to your hotel room. It's supposed to be something like half a mile away from the Embassy, but I don't know. My fiancee, who is living in metro Manila but spent most of her life in province, didn't know anything about tourism or places to go, so we stayed at the hotel or at the mall. I would go there again, but next time, I'll bring directions to the hotel with me because the taxi driver had no idea where the hotel was.

We also stayed at the VIP Suites for 10 days, in the executive suite. Very roomy, very nice rooms, except for the long line of ants enjoying the 8 pieces of chicken the concierge ordered from Jollibee for me. But it seemed to be close to nothing, and they don't have an elevator. Taxi trips to malls were on the expensive side because the taxi drivers hit us with surcharges, they said for traffic, if they were even willing to drive there. For instance, the 600 peso charge for going in the traffic was well over the meter's 215 peso travel cost.

Both hotels had very friendly staffs and free wireless internet. And both hotels were well within my tight budget. I would go back to the Regency Grand Suites but I would not return to the VIP Suites.

IF they try to add charge I just get out at my destination and tell the taxi driver to F off. Once they try to cheat me, then I don't give them a single peso, nothing they can do about it........

Just because I wanted to save money, we checked in at Tropical Mansion Hotel. It is at Bocobo St., 5 minutes away from St. Lukes, 5 min. away from Robinsons Place Manila, just infront of McDonalds.

We got the family suite at the 5th floor for Php1,550. Sorry, no elevators, no free wifi BUT do not bring food in the room or else Mickey Mouse's cousin will definitely pay you a visit while youre sleeping. Just imagine, me screaming bloody murder.
