Now I have 2nd thought. You are right , I emailed them about parking last week and there is no response.

Yeah, IMO... a decent hotel would provide a fast response.

We stayed at City Garden Suites a total of about 4 days coming and going from Manila to Negros Oriental. It was a nice place to stay, and my friends have been returning customers for several years. They have a wonderful breakfast with the deal, the room we stayed in was very clean, and as far as I am concerned as nice a place as you would want to stay in. It is close to everything there in Manila.

I stayed there too when I went to get the result of my medical. I agree, it's nice and clean, but I thought it was a little bit noisy. I kept hearing the jeepnies outside.

Cherry Blossom is right beside Robinson mall, so its a good location to give you something to do in walking distance

It is conveniently located.

Well, I'm glad you guys are laughing. :hehe:

Don't worry Darling... we're not laughing at you... we're laughing with you. :P

Ermita Malate is kind of around alot of go go bars so expect to see foreign guys with their new "girlfriends" at most of those hotels there... Same goes for some parts in Makati.

I would recommend White Knight hotel in Intramuros it has an old spanish romantic feeling there. Theres one of the oldest churches in the phils there across the street as well. The prices when i went there were very good for the quality of the rooms and it feels very new and modern as well.

There are no Go Go bars in Ermita and what's to say that a foreigner with his girlfriend had just met in a go go bar? All hotels in Manila have foreigner's with their filipina wives/girlfriends... I just stayed at Bayview Park hotel for my fist time 2 nights ago and had never seen so many ladyboys and foreigner's with their gf's... SO what!!!!!!!

maybe not go go bars but videoke places or whatever you want to call them. I stayed at the executive plaza hotel there and there was a place with lots of girls standing outside right next to it and my bride to be was asking why are you staying here huh? So just saying if it doesnt bother you then thats fine, but just trying to help the members stay informed about what goes on in those areas so they can make a good decision as to what works for them.

No worries,, hard to find a place in Manila where that doesn't happen. Use to stay at the Intercontinental in Makati, very nice upscale area, and would get mobbed in the elevator, lobby, on the way to the outback, in the outback, ect, ect. Just the way it is if your alone and a foreigner. Usually no problems with your fiancee on your arm...

Stayed at Bayview Park hotel and was impressed with the quality and price. My fiancee went to the hotel and had no issues with checking in or anything as I didn't fly in until 5 hours later. She felt comfortable there and definitely it is close to the EMbassy. We will stay there again.

Also stayed at Boulavard Mansion on the way out of town and I wouldn't stay there again even if it was free. As we enetered the 14th floor it was a strong urine smell. My friend had a room and my fiancee and I a room. We walked in the room and it smelled so bad, with big stains in the carpet in the bedroom. Very outdated!!!! My fiancee felt very uncomfortable there and wanted me to stay in the same room as she was in.. SHe said their was Moo Moo(spirits).. Good thing they didnt confirm my reservation the first time as thats where I was going to have her meet me when I came into town. SHE WOULD HAVE KILLED ME!!! She is new to this type of thing and traveling alone.

My friend who also stayed in a room did not sleep at all, said things seemed strange, thought people were in the kitchen. Even when the guy came up to fix his internet connection, at one point went blank and stared at the kitchen area for 30 seconds, haha. Not kidding, it was bad. He didn't sleep at all. We stayed in one bedroom rooms, not the cheapest but not the suites.. The only good thing was the view and location, but the piss smell and the stained carpets, dirty, outdated rooms trumped that!! He had breakfast and thought it was bad..

We will try the Diamond Hotel next month..

Copacabana Hotel and Suites is on Roxas Boulavard near the embassy and the airport. That's where my fiance likes to stay. Because it's nice, clean, and cheap.

The Hyatt if you get the local Pinoy rate is a nice place, the jazz bar downstairs is to die for on a night when they have the band there (one of the finest in the philippines actually). Some of the rooms are getting a bit old tough, however the Casino is fun and the buffet is really nice.

Diamond is fine...their sky lounge is fun....

Pan Pacifica is a nice place with a nice gym and a nice pool, decent rooms.

Some of the rental units around Ermita, and close to Robisons are very nice and can be had for around 3k / night, a real deal if you ask me.

Some have written about the area's more seedy side, I don't see much of that, it's mostly k-bar stuff downn the way, and very subdued and certainly nothing even approaching Angeles or the various areas off Roxas or in Makati.
