HI Guys,

Just to share some information, You can give application for police clearance certificate with out NVC letter....Once your file is approved from usice, you can submit the copy of NOA2 with police clearance certificate application.. they will issue police clearance certificate in 20-25 days..they will ask to write a letter that why u need the police clearance certificate ( which purpose)?bcz this people are not aware about USA visa procedure...I hope this will help u...

Well I Just submitted the application for police clearance certificate.. that you can obtain from local police station..after 20-25 days...

The problem is that Ahmedabad Passport office won't even give you PCC even if you have an interview appointment letter for a K1 visa. We have our interview on 7th but no way to get the PCC because that office doesn't know what a K1 visa is.

It is very very frustrating....

They dont need to know why you need a PCC... its a standard service that is provided by the passport offices...

I wish that was the case. They only let you in the passport office if you have an appointment letter in Ahmedabad. We have the "Misc" service paperwork filled out and everything and the RPO just isn't budging. We have no clue what to do. We have everything else ready.....

My fiance is just gonna go to the interview on the 7th without the PCC and pray to god that we get the visa. I emailed the consulate asking me to send a pdf letter requesting the PCC and hopefully my fiance can take that to the passport office and try again.

Hello Folks

I am applying for my parents immigration for Canada. I need to apply for their PCC from Bombay

1) Do they have to personally go to the passport office?

2) Can agent do it? if yes, does it require real copy or copies do?

3) Do they inquire and come to your house to check if you are physically present

4) What if the current address they are presently living is different than the one on the passport but same local and police station

My wife has applied for a PCC at the Mumbai Passport Office on 1st November. Still nothing! How long does it normally take at the Mumbai Office?

At mumbai they give PCC in 1-2 days time

Does she had applied for Tatkal passport?Pls found it for the same..does she had completed local police station verification than CID than her last stage is worli passport office?

She already has the passport (though her passport is issued by Ahmedabad). What is CID verification and what do you mean by final stage at Worli Passport Office?

her passport is issued from ahemdabad... why she had applied pcc from Mumbai not from ahemdabad?
