As of July 21.2011 am missing some documents.. My question is the operator told me I was sent a checklist of missing document or either missing information would I receive an email? & how long would it take? Or is this checklist send by the mail?

I'm just going based by what I have Read in this site, you will get that in the mail. I would call the visa specialist line. In my experience they had better info or more qualified operators. Good luck, and this soon will pass

Mine came in an email. It can take a few days for it to actually be sent. The message on the phone tells you the day it was generated, not actually sent; even though the message says it was sent, it was not. If on monday you don't get it, speak to an operator and have them tell you what is on it so you might be able to prepare ahead of time.

Keep in mind, this might just be a false RFE. Very often, as soon as an officer reviews a package, the AVR is updated saying "information is missing". This is frequently a false RFE just saying either your AOS or IV package is missing.

An RFE can come via email IF you gave them your email when you filed, or it may be sent via snail mail if they don't have any other way of contacting you. The visa specialist is your best way to contact then to see what you are missing and what your status is.

This is frustating so apparently I am missing two documents that I already sent in...in this case what do I do ... Do I re-send them or could it be they haven't review it yet!!!! Or should I send an email to them and with the copy to show them I did send it in!!! Any advice I would really appreciate.

I would do both. That way you cover yourself. If they don't accept the emailed ones, you have the other ones on their way. They're bound to get them one way or another. Btw...did they give you a barcoded coversheet to send with the missing documents?

We sent in the wrong size passport photos...the NVC said they were missing BUT they were just the wrong size. We printed off the RFE coversheet and sent them in and in a couple weeks our case was closed :) Hope that helps! Good luck :)
