HELP Wrong spelling in BIRTH CERTIFICATE

My girl went to the local civil registry office and filed a Petition for correction of clerical error to get all her family names aligned and spelled correctly.

Guess you guys could do the same if you're super worried about it.

Made sense for me since 129f and g325 were spelled correctly, but plane reservations from past trips used for evidence of meeting and ongoing relationship were spelled the old way (pre-correction). I didn't want any possible delay or hassle from a silly spelling difference.

you will have a problem on his misspelled name when you petition him

I'm sorry, not trying to be a butt here, but your answer has no value. What is it based on. What are your sources that lead you to that conclusion. Your answer does nothing to add value to the conversation. The history of the thread, states otherwise.

Please give a little more information in your posts, as of right now it's not helping the topic or the person who is inquiring. :)

Need help! So im filing f2a for my spouse. Just started filing out ds 260 and notices that on my wifes birth certificate the name of her mom is her married name instead of her maiden name and her dad name is missing the JR. Suffix. however on our marriage contract its correct. What should i do?

I meant marriage certificate.

First please don't hijack this thread. The information you are seeking can be different from what others have talked about. It can confused others who read "the history" of the original question.

Second, if you read this thread it states that it will not be a problem, because those that had mistakes, passed. It also states if you have the time, then have them corrected but what you describe is not a big deal. Paranoia can be your worse enemy.

Sorry, but I don't sugar coat my answers. My goal is to state the fact, or give the history of what others have experienced, or to help the individual with resources to make their journey just a little less stressful.

Use what is on the official documents that you will be presenting. That would be the most prevalent usage to complete the process. Good luck.

I have a Ir2 visa interview. My father filed a petition for me last year. Now i am realizing an error on my birth certificate. My father's given first name is written as his middle name and his middle name is written as his first name on my birth certificate. Am i in trouble? I am worried what is going to happen?

Doesn't mean it's an outdated topic.....that's harsh though but thanks anyway

OK.  You kept it up.

IN the Philippines (which this forum is focused on), the process for updating a birth certificate has changed over the years..... so NO it was harsh, it was a factual statement.    Which for Jamaica means little...

Old topics most times are best left "DOA"  ... just saying.

If they had read the thread to which they are posting in they would have seen what others have stated about this being an old thread and start their own topic. It amazes me how little people think (read) to best have their questions answered. Oh well, Sagot and I will continue to educate where there is fertile ground. ;)
